“Those who contemplate the beauty of the earth find reserves of strength that will endure as long as life lasts. There is something infinitely healing in the repeated refrains of nature — the assurance that dawn comes after night, and spring after winter.” ~ Rachel Carson, The Sense of Wonder, 1965
Ann Morrison Park is one of the Ribbon of Jewels parks located along the walking path along the Boise River called the Greenbelt. Morrison Park is a 153-acre park dedicated mostly to family play; there’s a great playground, many fields for soccer, baseball, and tennis courts, as well as a disc golf course, and an array of picnic tables and grills for public use. There are special seasonal events as well, the most famous is The Spirit of Boise Balloon Classic annual hot-air balloon festival where balloonists from around the world come and enjoy the event.
According to scientific studies, spending time in a natural environment is very healing. The problem is that sometimes you can’t do that. We now know that having a view of a beautiful, natural setting lush with green and growing things is nearly as good as being in Nature itself. Just imagine this is Your living room……Ahhhhhhh.
I took these photos with that intention, sought out the most beautiful landscapes with elements close by as well as at a distance so they would be most pleasing to the senses. All the photos on this site were taken by me specifically for the purpose of becoming Natural Healing Views.
