“We need the tonic of wildness…At the same time that we are earnest to explore and learn all things, we require that all things be mysterious and unexplorable, that land and sea be indefinitely wild, unsurveyed and unfathomed by us because unfathomable. We can never have enough of nature.” ~ Henry David Thoreau, Walden: Or, Life in the Woods
You get to walk in nice, warm sand on your stroll along Banks Beach near Banks, Idaho. It’s in the Boise National Forest on the Payette River, a popular location for rafting in the summer. It’s a very small beach and a popular spot in the summer!
According to scientific studies, spending time in a natural environment is very healing. The problem is that sometimes you can’t do that. We now know that having a view of a beautiful, natural setting lush with green and growing things is nearly as good as being in Nature itself. Just imagine this is Your living room……Ahhhhhhh.
I took these photos with that intention, sought out the most beautiful landscapes with elements close by as well as at a distance so they would be most pleasing to the senses. All the photos on this site were taken by me specifically for the purpose of becoming Natural Healing Views.
