“Just be, whatever you are with whatever you have, and realise that that is enough to be happy. There’s a whole world out there, right outside your window. You’d be a fool to miss it.” ~ Charlotte Eriksson
Most of the trails in the Boise National Forest have names (a few have just numbers). I believe the Redtail Trail was named for the Redtail Hawks you can see from the heights. (I didn’t see any this day, though.) The forest is an hour or so from the city of Boise, Idaho. I was there with a group that day, on a nature walk near the Bogus Basin Recreation area, identifying flowers, many of which grow only at that elevation in the forest, about 6,150 feet or 1,875 meters. It’s a great thing to do, especially on hot summer days since it’s about 10 degrees cooler up there!
According to scientific studies, spending time in a natural environment is very healing. The problem is that sometimes you can’t do that. We now know that having a view of a beautiful, natural setting lush with green and growing things is nearly as good as being in Nature itself. Just imagine this is Your living room……Ahhhhhhh.
I took these photos with that intention, sought out the most beautiful landscapes with elements close by as well as at a distance so they would be most pleasing to the senses. All the photos on this site were taken by me specifically for the purpose of becoming Natural Healing Views.
