Stack Rock from the Redtail Trail in Boise National Forest

“…I dare you to walk where you have not yet walked and I dare you to notice. Don’t try to get anything out of it, because you won’t. Don’t try to make use of it, because you can’t. And that’s the point. Just walk, see, sit down if you like. And be.” ~ Charlotte Eriksson

Stack Rock is a famous landmark in the Boise National Forest, and a popular spot for rock climbers both local and visiting. This photo was taken from one of the many trails in the Boise National Forest. It’s an hour or so from the city of Boise, Idaho. I was there with a group that day, we were on a nature walk near the Bogus Basin Recreation area, identifying flowers, many of which grow only at that elevation in the forest, about 6,150 feet or 1,875 meters. It’s a great thing to do, especially on hot summer days since it’s about 10 degrees cooler up there!

According to scientific studies, spending time in a natural environment is very healing. The problem is that sometimes you can’t do that. We now know that having a view of a beautiful, natural setting lush with green and growing things is nearly as good as being in Nature itself. Just imagine this is Your living room……Ahhhhhhh.

I took these photos with that intention, sought out the most beautiful landscapes with elements close by as well as at a distance so they would be most pleasing to the senses. All the photos on this site were taken by me specifically for the purpose of becoming Natural Healing Views.
